Grant Writer (Contractor Position)

This contract position has the primary function of identifying and securing funding that support the mission of the Collaborative and supports the work of Collaborative members. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing the entire grant process; from identifying appropriate opportunities through submission and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. This contractor works closely with Collaborative members in order to develop and implement grant and other fundraising opportunities that meets the mission and goals of the organization.

A successful contractor will need to write well to present organizational need and supportive data in a clear and compelling manner. Contractor will be knowledgeable about local and national grant opportunities, and be able to strategize alongside the team to support initiatives. Contractor will be able to work with members and the team to identify what data/info are needed to maximize success. Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multitasking abilities.

As a contractor, individual will work remote and provide own office equipment. Contractor will determine own schedule to accomplish work, in collaboration with WRHC Executive Director.

Director of Contract Services

The Director of Contract Services primary role is to grow and manage the Rural Collaborative member and administrative contract portfolio. This individual works closely with the Senior Director to manage the contract portfolio and to develop and implement new programs. This includes investigating, evaluating and developing new contracting opportunities, building and nurturing productive and mutually beneficial partnerships with select vendors and managing and implementing contracts. Additionally, the Director of Contract Services plays a pivotal role in managing and analyzing financial and business information to help advance the Rural Collaborative’s strategic plan.

The Director of Contract Services ensures consistent management of all proposals as well as the administrative and member contracts. This includes oversight of the contract management process, development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations, and document management. The role requires consistent and excellent professional communication with C-suite executives, health system department heads and other stakeholders from within our Members hospitals. The role also requires excellent professional communication with industry partners and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions for both service related contracts. Experience with Health Plan contracting would be a significant plus. The incumbent should have experience in and understanding of the key components of contract structure and will be able to identify and negotiate mutually agreeable terms, conditions, language and financial provisions of complex contract offerings.
